Mill Farm Party 2023

The annual flagship party in the farm music calendar returns for the fourth time in 2023! Join in the good summer vibes at this family friendly one day music festival. We are a small boutique farm festival and run a small number of live festival dates through the summer. The Mill Farm Party is a small festival with a big heart and the perfect event for the whole family to enjoy.

We have curated an amazing line up of acts to perform on the outdoor stage. Including RIP IT UP, an authentic 1950's Rock 'n' Roll, bringing the attitude and tunes to get you moving! We also look forward to welcoming, THE ENTITLED SONS, fresh from their Glastonbury performance to the outdoor stage here at the farm! The Beeny boys have recorded and released some great rock tunes here at the Mill Farm Studios and we can't wait to see them perform live and rock the stage in full!

The line up also features US songsmith, author, and road worn wanderer, THE WANDERBIRD, bringing an unforgettably powerful voice and blend of traditional American country folk and blues. THE INTERCEPTEURS return to light up the stage with their head bopping, toe tapping, upliftingly infectious ska pop tempos! We also cannot wait to welcome, THE BROWN MOUNTAIN LIGHTNING BUGS. Touring from the USA through the summer months, this Appalachian music duo blend both the trippy and traditional to make their own folk(ish) sound! And not forgetting, THE DUCKS, Mill Farm house band extraordinaire, playing lively tunes from the last 50 years, with a special twist!

This year really promises to be something even more special, as we are teaming up with Abbey 104 FM for their 10 year birthday celebrations. This year we are adding a second acoustic stage to increase the music and the fun! We are very excited to announce we have recently added the wonderfully talented, CONOR SMITH, BEN REIDY and DAVE WOAN.

It's going to be an amazing day full of music, great company and fun down at the farm. We are a small festival with a limited run of tickets so please get in quick to secure your spot for the day!

Limited Earlybird tickets remaining for all Adv Sale categories on sale until 14th June or sold out!! This includes Adult, Child, Senior, and Family tickets.

For those who attended our recent Folk Festival, expect family fun and activities for all the family to enjoy. The small but mighty Mill Farm Bar returns to serve a wonderful selection of drinks from Gritchie Brewing Co, Twisted Cider, Cerne Abbas Brewery and some great wines and spirits. We have invited a host of stalls down to make the day even more special. As in previous years, the bouncy castle and assault course will be back in action. Plus face painting, crafts and loads more!

Here's a run down on some of the acts announced to play:

Rip It Up
Rip It Up are an authentic 1950’s Rock 'n' Roll / Rockabilly / Jive and Stroll Trio. Full of attitude, guaranteed to get you off your feet and dancing. Big presence and great for a boogie.

The Intercepteurs
Through popular demand, Salisbury's premier intelligentska pop supremos are back! This wonderful band are in the mould of The Specials and The Beat. Their playing features nods to the likes of Skatalites, Baba Brooks, Millie Smalls et al. Expect colourful clever pop passages that are totally upliftin

The Entitled Sons
The Entitled Sons are a local family rock band from South Somerset, consisting of 4 brothers and their Dad. This fantastic band came to prominence on Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country and are fast making a name as rockers of repute. Their first song, Break, reached number 1 in the iTunes Rock Chart and peaked at n0. 43 in the official singles charts! The band recorded their recent track, Heaven Knows, here at Mill Farm Studios and will no doubt light up the stage with their live rock performance! The band play the Mill Farm Party fresh from their June performance at Glastonbury festival.

Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs
If Jerry Garcia and Tom Waits made an Appalachian music duo, it might sound a little like the Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs. Hailing all the way from North Carolina. They create a concoction of sounds that gets a lot of toes tapping and heads bobbing, melding the trippy with the trad to create their original folk(ish) sound! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gl_fW_fxVc

Conor Smith The boy with the blue guitar. Street busker and one of the hardest working singer song writers out there. We can't wait to welcome the supremely talented Conor Smith back the farm bringing his original music to the farm stage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS7HdU40xX0&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.millfarmmusic.com%2F&source_ve_path=Mjg2NjY&feature=emb_logo

The Wanderbird Songsmith, author and road worn wanderer, Jason D. Thompson, aka The Wanderbird, strolls into town to preach his unique brand of folk story songs on the Mill Farm festival stage. One to watch, his songs draw from a deep well of rural blues, gospel, country and folk songwriting traditions. An outstanding live music performer walking his own wayfaring path, not one to miss at the Mill Farm Party! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80bhssnIle8

Ben Reidy 17 year old singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist from nearby Weymouth. Fusing skate punk influences with soulful guitar melodies. Ben recorded his debut album, Be Safe Goodbye, in 2022. We look forward forward to welcoming Ben to the acoustic stage.

Dave Woan. Story teller, guitar picker, and big personality bringing a rollercoaster of emotions to the fore with his original acoustic songs. Inspired by Jonny Flynn, Thom Yorke, Nick Drake, and The Boss himself, Dave's acoustic performance brings a relaxed and soulful vibe perfect for a countryside day out.

The Ducks. The Mill Farm house band, The Ducks, return to the stage with their lively folk-style songs from the last 50 years with a special twist! The Ducks
