The wild folk fiddles, strumming guitars, and soaring vocals are returning to the festival fields of Mill Farm, Bradford Abbas, on Saturday, 20th May!
This year’s Folk Festival is back, bigger, and brighter than ever for 2023. The perfect one day music festival and countryside family day out. This year features an awesome line up of fine folk music acts, including our headliner, the amazing singer, songwriter and storyteller, Reg Meuross. Reg is a rare musical talent and celebrated folk artist. We cannot wait to welcome him to the outdoor stage in style!
Wicked folk punk trio, Ninotchka, will be bringing the energy with their lightning fast Irish jigs and wild gypsy dances. Glastonbury performers on the Avalon stage last year, this band will make you move and make you smile! Grab your dancing shoes and catch Reg and Ninotchka, plus many more extraordinary folk acts, including John Bailly, Amy Goddard, plus...Mill Farm's very own house band, The Ducks. This year will also feature a number of exclusive acoustic sets to keep an eye out for.
Joining in the fun this year, a host of friends and independent local retailers and artisan producers. There’s plenty activities for kids of all ages, face painting, bouncy castle assault course, fluffy alpacas, as well as arts and crafts and stalls to browse. Ideal for keeping the smalls entertained while you soak up the festival atmosphere!
Festival food and drink will be available all day. The Mill Farm bar returns bigger and better, offering an array of local wine, beer, cider and spirits from Cerne Abbas Brewery, Gritchie Brewing Co, and Twisted Cider. Perfect for a tipple in the sunshine catching the bands by the bar or main stage! It’s going to be great day with heaps of atmosphere and fun, we can’t wait to welcome you to the farm.

Some words about our wonderful artists...
Reg Meuross
Reg’s clever and imaginative lyrics have earned him the title of “Master Storyteller” (Penny Black Music) and led Mike Harding (Mike Harding Folk Show) to introduce him onto the stage of The Royal Albert Hall as “one of the finest singer-songwriters this country has produced”.
Whether it’s a village hall or the Albert Hall, Reg brings to the stage a collection of extremely beautiful songs, performed with humour and depth, and sung with the voice of an angel. Reg has that rare gift of being able to touch people through his songs and performance, on a really human level. His words and music paint pictures that remain with the listener long after the song has been sung.
Ninotchka
Wild and wicked folk punk trio playing Klezmer, Balkan and Irish folk songs from the heart of deepest darkest Somerset. Not one to be missed!
Dreuw
Extremely talented songwriter, who has just launch his ethereal debut LP, Lose This. A heartfelt and reflective record documenting Dreuw's journey of self-discovery and reconnection with nature during the past few years. His dynamic sound shifts effortlessly from moments of intimacy to enthralling orchestral times. Amazing voice and acoustic artist.
Amy Goddard
A folk artist and luthier with a flair for story songs. Amy stands out as an artist, crafting her songs on her hand-built guitars. Standing out with her clear, pure, almost fragile sound, Amy has been described by Folk Radio UK as one of ‘the rarest singer songwriters’ around. Amy’s 2019 album, Always a Dreamer, was named number 2 in the critics choice as album of the year in Country Music People.
The Ducks
Mill Farm's own house band, a four piece, fronted by Mark & Anne. Playing a range of folk style songs from the last 50 years with a twist.

Just a short walk across the farmyard from the recording studio & venue you will find our wonderful farm cottages; Fox, Kingfisher and Owl. These three cottages are very popular with guests seeking to visit the farm to record or on a relaxing break. They are frequently called home by bands and other performers, as residential accommodation whilst recording in the studio or using The Omelette Club, our venue. Fox and Owl cottages both have spacious accommodation for two guests sharing. The cottages all have double bedrooms with king size beds and en-suite shower rooms. Kingfisher Cottage is our larger open plan cottage. Fox and Kingfisher come with cosy wood-burners to curl up next to. The ideal country getaway and all very popular! The ideal place to relax and unwind after a day recording or exploring the local countryside, the cottages have been recently converted to a high standard and feature all the modern luxuries and touches you have come to expect.
